We went here as a group of 7 with no reservation. We were told they had a lot of reservations and it would be a couple hours. We then said we would split into two tables and they accommodated us at one. There were 16 empty tables the entire time we ate here. However once seated food was good and so was service
Had a great time at Moxie's tonight. We were a large group celebrating a dear friend's birthday. The waitress serving us was superb. Thanks for making for a great evening. My husband and I shared the potstickers, followed by the red Thai curry and the pulled chicken tacos with salad. Both were delicious. Will visit again for sure!!
I decided to give the place another chance. Last time I was here a few months ago, the fire alarm went off during lunch hour. The noise was unbearable for my companion, who had an hearing aide and had to turn it off. It was impossible to hear. No apology and no attempt at one. Very poor attitude that way. Second time was quiet, with three of my children in tow. We had good service and the food was equally so. The teenagers enjoyed their food.
Went here as we have had good experiences with Moxie's in general. My wife has some dietary constraints and didn't catch there was corn salsa with her fish tacos. When the meal came and she noticed it, she told the server she couldn't eat corn and she didn't think she had seen it in the description. They quickly redid her meal without the corn salsa and did another salad without sesame seeds. Not to mention they offered her a soup while she waited which they did not charge for. Turned out she was wrong and the corn salsa was listed in the description. She let them know this but there were no extra charges. The manager (or assistant mgr) and the waitress checked on us frequently. This was some of the best customer service I've ever encountered and the staff and management should be commended for it. I will return here in the future when we are in the area as this type of service should be rewarded. Should note the food was very good too. Great experience!
I frequently visit this restaurant for many reasons. Tasty food and good sized portions. Great service, but most of all, special attention is paid to ensure my meal is gluten free. The manager actually visits the table every time I go, to review the menu with me and make suggestions to make the meal better. And I'm never disappointed. That's why I keep going back.
After a long day of site seeing we decided to order into our hotel.Goggled 10 best pizza places and this one caught our eye and the fact that they made wings as well.Guy said 45 minutes for delivery. After 11/2 hours I called and he said it should be there shortly. When we opened it the pizza was cold and the wings were just warm. The bbq sauce for the wings was bad. Never tasted a sauce like that. For the pizza I would say if it had been hot it would be just good. Not in my top 10.Poor service that even the driver knew they messed up and said sorry man.Poor managagament probably.
Pete's Frootique was the brain child of an English grocer whose focus was on quality, presentation, variety, knowledgeable staff, excellent customer service and fair prices. Essentially an upscale market that also has a small take out restaurant with tables. All of this was a winning combination and as a result, it soon became a highly popular destination. Then it was bought by a large national grocery chain and everything changed; variety decline, quality suffered, prices went up sometimes by as much as 40% and customer service plummeted. Still an interesting place to visit but a shadow of its former self - really too bad!
I used to enjoy coming here until they changed their menu to be more traditional British. I'm not sure if they succeeded, but they aren't great for anyone who likes seafood or is a vegetarian. There is basically nothing on the menu now that doesn't include some kind of animal, such as duck or mutton. Or fried in fat from duck. Interesting. If you like traditional English food, you may like it a lot. The service was also slow, and not professional in my opinion. Maybe I'm a traditionalist in this part, but I believe everyone at your dinner party table should be served their food at the same time. Especially if there are just three of you. I've worked in restaurants, this isn't hard to do. I also watched the table across the room be served at completely different times too, and they were also just a small party of 3. I think everyone enjoyed their food when it arrived though. One friend had the Eggs Benedict, one the lobster BLT sandwich, and I had a veggie omelet (great).
Kit Kat isn't fancy at all but I do love their pizza. It is straight forward pizza. The woman that works there is very funny, I always enjoy going down to pick up my pizza and garlic fingers. Good crust, good sauce, lots of cheese and at a great price.
