Rating : 3.5 First the good : made reservations online. Very easy to do so. We were seated within a few minutes of us arriving. Very cute interior. Loved the vibe. It's cute and cozy. The attention to detail for allergies was excellent. The server made sure that she knew them all. The cook on the cod was very good. The tomatoes were perfection. Now the not so good. Very very very slow service. Granted the restaurant was almost to capacity, but 40 minutes for an appetizer is very slow. We ordered two appetizers.. Only one made it to the table. The lamb raviolis .. Were probably from two batches. One tasted exceptionally good. The other two were way too salty.
Had such a pleasant brunch experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, in an old building in the historic old town of Montreal. The interior was really special, during my meal I found myself looking for the detail that went into the room. The service was really friendly and warm, our server was really nice and checked for us several times. The food was delicious and very carefully combined, desserts were also very nice. I'd come back to Montreal to eat here again.
The menu is small, making it easier to decide what to have. Eating is good and tasteful, environment is cozy and If you want oysters, try the “summer love” . It has a meat broth to taste on it and it is something I had not experienced before. Our waitress Victoria was such a dynamic character with which you are immediately in love. She moves gracefully in a small room and she is charming. Please book for the weekend, because we were sent and happy by Barocco. Totally recommended.
Generally good. Enjoyed the ambience and we had good service. The distinction that dishes on the menu are not marked as seasonal if they are not always available, of course, seasonality is good, but the information was missing. Also a shame that there are no local or even Canadian wines on the list.
The restaurant is beautiful, the decor, ambience, vibe and feel is really amazing. The service is excellent as well, the waiters are very friendly and very professional. As for the food, I tried appetizers and snacks, 5 of them though, like the major ones on the menu. The presentation is 5 stars, but and I must say they all taste just ok, nothing that will blow your mind or make you say wow!! When you count the price in for these plates, it is just not worth it for the food. So I ended up not ordering any mains thinking it would be the same.
I tried all 3 empanadas. Carne had no flavour, missing salt and everything else. Chicken was even worst, but the vegetarian ended up in the garbage. Really bad, I was following everything on Instagram and I wanted to go and try it. But sadly it was a disappointment. I give two stars because the girl at the front was super nice.
Service was friendly but it all took so so long. We entered around 5:00 and left at 8:00. Everything was very salty, the lobster carbonara was so watery is wasn't a carbonara anymore. My cavatelli was ok. Just didn't enjoy all that sprinkled cheese on top. We wanted to order dessert but by the time we were brought the menu, we had waited 30 minutes and waiting any longer to order was just making us more tired. We waited 15 mins before someone came to take our dessert order which by then we asked for the bill which took another 15 mins. Might give it a second chance. Will update my review then if things get better.
While shopping in Little Italy, we found this restaurant by accident, stopped in and thought "Wow......what great food! Venezuelan is fab"! The prices are good, the chef and wait staff are great and knowledgeable and the variety of food offered, which is not something we could cook at home, is out of this world and worth another visit the next time we are in Montreal. Check out their website and instagram for details on their food and pics of the food. We loved it.
A fairly new restaurant has opened up on Dollard in Lasalle.Small restaurant very nicely decorated with beautiful tea settings offered with each meal.Allthough it was not a familiar menu to us,the family run staff explained in detail all of the menu in English as well as in French. The meals are Halal and are from the UYGHUR region of Asia, particularly in an area in East China. The choices we ordered were Soup,Manta,Sambosa, and Laghman,,,,all delicious ,just the right amount of spices.Looking forward to Friday to return with family to order thr special Hot Pot which is their specialty.
