If you are the the type that likes to wait for there food .. Barb' s Kitchen is the place. After being seater waited 1.5 hour for our food. Wait staff communication was poor.after placing an order for a burger took The waitress 20mins to come tell me there was NO Burgers. The food was mediocre nothing worth waiting that long for.

What a shame to read some negative reviews. We made a special trip out to Orangeville to try this place and we were definitely not disappointed. All the staff was over the top pleasant, friendly and helpful. We sat out on the patio as it was a beautiful afternoon. We both ordered from breakfast menu and our plates were overflowing. Everything was delicious and we even brought home doggie bags. We will definitely be back for lunch sometime the burgers & fries/poutine looked amazingly yummy. I do have one tiny criticism (sorry but have to mention) When customers are paying nearly $3 for a glass of OJ I think a freshly squeezed variety (like Tropicana) would be more acceptable instead of one from concentrate. Yuk. All in all a fabulous day trip that we will definitely do again. Kudos to all the great staff & I mean ALL!!!

Note that we are not criticising the workers who were pleasant and hard working. But we arrived at ~ 1:00, were seated in ten minutes and didn't receive our food until after 2:00. Spoiled the experience. I heard an employee say they only had two cooks today. That happens but if service is going to be slow it should be communicated to customers and it was not. The food was decent but by the time it came I just wanted to down it and go as fast as possible. Too bad. High hopes not met.

The original owners sold and moved to Florida. My family and I were regulars here. We won't be coming back ever again. If the former owners knew what the experience is like now they would be losing their minds. The place wasn't incredibly busy, but we waited over an hour for our meals. We had to raise our hands to get the waitresses who were standing around, eating, and talking, attention to ask for everything. More coffee, to have syrup for my son's pancakes. Our meals weren't correct. Then the cashier said she took off something from the bill we didn't order, when I was paying, and after paying, and seeing the breakdown, she never removed it. This place still may get business from tourists and cause it was featured on the good network. But none of the regulars are going there anymore. Over an hour to get food, horrible and RUDE service. This place has taken a nose dive, and they are all original staff. So sad, we used to love this place.

This place used to be one of the best...not even close anymore. Gave it 3 chances with new staff but such a huge disappointment on so many levels. Won't return.

My husband looked up 'Best breakfast' in this area to surprise me on my birthday and Barb's Country Kitchen came out on top. It is a very small and unassuming looking venue but with great reviews. We arrived on a weekday, mid-morning and the place was hopping! It is obviously a popular place but I have two minor complaints. If you are unfortunate enough to have to wait for a table, there is no place really to do this. You are standing in the doorway, right next to people who are enjoying their meal and it's awkward, to say the least. Now, the food is definitely worth the wait, but I'm just saying, that was an uncomfortable wait, made even more so by the proximity to the food (so close and yet so far!). Also, if you are trying to eat healthy, there is not too much here for you. That being said, do bring your appetite! Can you say 5-egg omelet?! I mean, who does that? Well, Barb's Country Kitchen does! And topping upon topping upon toppings are available - very decadent. We had to wait a long time for our food, but it was delicious although we couldn't finish it all..So I'm torn...if you are hungry, go for it! Definitely a gastronomic experience and worth the visit!

Staff friendly. Portion sizes large. Eggs Benedict good. Timing a little off. Toast delivered about 5 minutes before meal meaning it was cold by the time the meal got there. Some things were missed like whipped cream (although we were asked about it). Cheese on potatoes was also missed. Greater attention to detail was needed.
