Had a lunch-time meeting scheduled here. Otherwise, I would never have noticed JJ's. It is in a small plaza and is hidden from a street view. There is a sign at the curb, but it is overpowered by another (Chinese) restaurant, and easy to miss. There were 7 of us. We had a reservation. We entered and were immediately greeted and seated by a collegial hostess. It was in a small alcove that sheltered us from the excessive noise of a basically full dining room. The tables were covered with fabric table cloths gleaming white. The plates and bowls were well-constructed in a white oriental style. Menus already awaited us. Water came immediately and, because we were ready to order, the orders went in at once. Most of us had meals that came with the soup of the day or a green salad, which came up within a few minutes. My salad was very attractively presented, and included shrimp and avocado on greens with a creamy (and delicious) dressing. Within a few moments of the salad's completion, our main dishes arrived. I had ordered the crab meat fried rice sautéed with garlic, lemon grass, egg, carrots, beans, and green onions ($13.50). It was a huge mound in a white stoneware bowl. And it was extremely tasty. I wasn't sure that I would be able to finish it, but it was so delicious that I ate the whole thing! Those with me seemed equally pleased with their meals. In fact, one member of our group ate not only all of his meal, but ate a good portion of his wife's when she was unable to finish it all. No one wanted dessert; all were too stuffed. A great meal! Wonderful variety of choices to suit all palates. I can recommend it whether you run to spicy or bland food.

A reservation for a terrace table. When we arrived there, the receptionist said: there is no table. I mentioned the reservation, and he just pointed inside and said, "You don't see that we are busy! doesn't matter that you made a reservation. I wasn't gone just because I was waiting for other family members to arrive. After many discussions we have a table in the way we needed it. The service was good. I missed: blue tuna, tobiko and fried banana (dessert). I definitely don't come back. I'd rather be August 8th.

Went on a Saturday for dinner. Did the all you can eat. Portions were perfect for sharing. Food was amazing, service was excellent and the decor was beautiful. Will definitely go back.

Took the whole family on a Tuesday night and there wasn't a wait. Everyone we came into contact with were super helpful - the service was spectacular and they were very mindful of assisting in any way possible to accommodate the kids. Ambiance is modern, chic and stylish - perfect for a date. This was possibly the best pad thai I've ever had. The sushi and sashimi were fresh however the serving size could be a cut bigger. They have a good variety of international beer selection. The fried rice was good. At the end of the meal the server brought my little one an ice cream ball dusted in chocolate when he brought us the dessert menus. I thought that was a very nice touch! We would definitely return! ....Sans enfants

I have been to JJ a while back and enjoyed my first visit. My most recent visit had some issues. First, the ambiance at JJ is great, the decor is modern and has a fireplace in the middle of the restaurants. It's very clean and well kept.We ordered various appetizers and one main dish and the food varied based on the item. Their Grill squid and dumpling are really good and recommend it. The deep fried Vietnamese spring roll was not for me and did not enjoy it - very greasy. We also ordered Spicy Avocado, its spicy and I enjoyed it, but it's an acquired taste and not sure if this is for everyone. For the main dish we ordered the Thai Spicy Noodle. This was really good, great taste and perfect amount of spices. The biggest disappointment on his visit was the amount of fruit flies. They were everywhere, including in our drinks. The staff was nice enough to get us another drink but it did ruin our experience. Staff is good and did their best.

Business lunch with a bunch of colleagues. Excellent food and service. Prices reasonable. Will definitely be back but don't expect a $10 lunch but a good bento box meal.

We picked this restaurant based on Trip Advisor review! It's true, the restaurant is hidden in the plaza. What amazed me other than the elegant atmosphere was the staff! They were professionally trained and very polite! We picked from the All You Can Eat menu on Friday night ($29.99 per person). Food was absolutely tasty; Sashimi was served over ice! We also tried the Green Tea Creme brule (not on the all you can eat menu). I recommend it to those who enjoy the green tea taste! Absolutely amazing experience, will definitely go back!

We selected from the Saturday All you can taste menu. Lots of great choices, had spring roll, miso soup, mango salad California rolls, , teriyaki salmon to name a few. Wait staff is very polite. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. Plenty of choices of tea to have with your meal.
