We made reservations for dinner, our seating was excellent. We ordered appetizers, drinks and dinner all of which were very good. I requested by filet mignon medium rare and it came out medium well so I sent it back. All of my friends finished their dinner and I still did not have mine, it finally came out cooked correctly. The waitress did not apologize or even say anything in reference to the dinner. I requested to speak with the manager who came to the table and was extremely rude. He told me the bill is the bill and the dinner was incorrect because I changed my order, which was absolutely not true. He said he looked at the steak before it was served and it was cooked correctly, which was also not true. He did not offer an apology, he was combative and could have cared less that there was an issue. He proceeded to bring over the credit card charger to run my card and stood by the table as if I was going to leave without paying. I told him I would pay the tab and he didn't need to worry I was not going to walk out. I have never been treated so rudely by anyone in an eating establishment. We will never go back to this restaurant.
Reservations are needed and I had one for 3 people. However, our group had grown to 6 people due to airline changes. We proceeded to Conti Caffe and I explained situation to the very busy restaurant.. the staff was very helpful, made space for our group promptly and served us delicious meals including shrimp and scallops, Osso Buco, and filet. Very nice.
Service was exceptionally slow. We arrived at for our reservation that they had incorrectly written in for It took minutes after being seated to have a drink order taken, and another minutes for it to arrive. We almost left. Also slow to take food order, and then for the bill to arrive at the end of the night. We quite enjoy 'relaxed' service and certainly weren't in a rush but the service just seemed inattentivedisorganized, bordering on confused. The table beside us complained of the same thing. Saving grace was the food was good prepared well

We ate here twice during the music festival. The service was excellent both nights. We eat early and didnt need reservations. I ate the prix fix starting with the gnocchi that was slightly fried which I loved the texture. I also had the minestrone soup. Not a big bowl but just enough. Made different than my Italian mother in laws but was very tasty. One night I had the beef bourguignon with noodles that was ok. I'm honestly not a huge fan of it but I thought I would try it. The other night I had a filet mignon that was cooked to perfection and tasty. Also 1 night I got a pastry tart with blueberries and was definitely fresh as was the canoli I got the other night. I live in Charleston and the food there is really expensive. These meals were very reasonably priced and of course with the strength of the dollar were bargains in my opinion. I highly recommend this restaurant as le Continental next door that is owned by the same person. We have been to Quebec 10 times and eaten at many of the places there. It kind of comes down to what type of food you are in the mood for because most every place we have eaten was not disappointing.
Had no reservation but was seated quickly, asked to move table as the music was too loud in that area, no problem , the young lad who was our waiter was friendly and attentive, had the Veal which was delicious as was the creme brulé, husband had the cheesecake said it was one of the best he had tasted. It was so good with decent portions we went back the following night.
I didn’t have a reservation and was eating alone but was quickly seated. Service was good. I had the Caesar salad and lobster risotto. Both were very good. Overall a good experience with food and service.
