This is now my favorite place to go whenever I visit Toronto. You need a reservation even for a Wednesday night as the place is packed by 6 PM. They have specials every day. We tried the Morghe Torsh (sour chicken stew) and it was amazing! The decor is also very nice. Great service too!
There's a reason you need a reservation for the Pomegranate even on weekdays: The food is that good. This family-owned restaurant also has a grill next door, which is fine for kebabs, but for the full menu, make the reservation for the main restaurant. The place is west of downtown—we walked there from Cabbagetown, but it's also on a trolley line. Check out its website for the menu, which is large and varied. It's upscale food with moderate prices.
This is a small restaurant so make sure you have reservations.Food was very good with good portion size. My husband and I both had different type of lamb dishes and we enjoyed them both. We had an eggplant appetizer that was different and creative and a pleasure to eat. The decor of the restaurant is definitely Persian and I loved the little water fountain near the tables. Staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions
The "Morasa Polo" dish is one of my favourite and can be had with lamb shank, chicken or vegetarian. It comes with jewelled rice, which is wonderful. Every dish at this wonderful and cozy little restaurant is an experience to your taste buds. Reservations are recommended.
This is an eatery (cause it’s definitely not a restaurant), it has a total of 6 tables I believe, and a 4-foot long window front. Also, it is RESERVATION ONLY! We travelled an hour there to be told that! They don’t have Open Table, they...don’t mention “RESERVATION ONLY” anywhere on their website. And you can’t reserve a table online! So it’s back to 1950’s. Assume they need a reservation, then call and reserve a table! Also, the staff are not very apologetic about turning away customers.
we arrived later than we would have liked, but the friendly wait staff squeezed us in. the food is very good and the menu is easy to follow and pick from. the desserts are large and good for sharing. the service was a bit disjointed, but well meaning.
We all enjoyed this Persian food so much I had the jewel rice which was absolutely delicious also had some of the dill rice with some fesenjoon which was one of the best I've ever had along with an okra special that they had off the menu really enjoyed this restaurant
We had a wonderful meal with family to celebrate my daughters graduation. The restaurant was packed- always a good sign. And then we had the food. The lamb dishes could best be described as the best lamb we have ever had. Melted in your mouth and you could cut with your fork. The other mushroom and lamb special was also very good. Prices are extremely good and there is a good selection of wine. We will definitely be back when we are next in Toronto!
