Recently had an early dinner on a Saturday night with friends. Arrived around 5 PM to see there were two large groups celebrating birthdays. I mention this because the acoustics of the restaurant make it a very noisy place, especially with the excitement of young children. Even without young children loud voices, this restaurant would be noisy due to high ceilings and exposed duct work.We were greeted promptly and taken to a booth on a raised platform. There are lower tables for those with mobility issues. Our table was next to the section with one of the large birthday groups. We could carry on a conversation, but as the restaurant filled with more patrons the noise level kept increasing, and the silence of the parking lot as we exited was welcome. She apologized for the wait as the kitchen was plating 27 meals for the group. We had no issue with this and told her we weren't in any rush. And really the wait time for our dinner wasn't that bad when the food did arrive. I was impressed that she took the time to keep us informed. The batter on my fish was slightly more than lightly battered, but the white fish was quite flaky and tasty. When I had my fill of the large portion of battered fish I just scooped out the tender fish to eat. Now I'm not sure what is happening to restaurant French fries. I had some thin wedge fries about a month ago from Kelsey's that were dry and overcooked. Well, wedge fries are served at State
