Been there several times.There are lots of choices on the menu,not just pub food and it has been very good every tine. The reason I am writing this review though, is because of the exceptional service that we received from our server , I believe her name was Marina. One of the best servers we have ever had. Thank you.
Stopped by for lunch for the first time and were pleasantly surprised.After a stumble of not having a server, it got straightened around quickly. Food arrived fast, service was good. You get lots of food for you money here. One of the best values at a restaurant we experienced while in Canada.
We came here for lunch when the place we wanted to try in Westdale was closed. We certainly did not regret our choice. They have a lot of Greek dishes and I ordered the Greek Village Salad (tomato, cucumber, onion, feta cheese) with a spear of pork souvlaki. The salad was HUGE with a lovely dressing and lots of crumbled feta. The pork souvlaki were tender and beautifully spiced. My wife had the chicken in a pita and it was generous and very good, as well. Prices are reasonable and service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place.I found the little note in the holder at our table to be a really nice touch (see photo) - unfortunately a reflection interfered with the clarity of the photo.
This is a Mom and Pop diner. Meals are home cooked and you get your money's worth. Restaurant is small but it's always busy. My favourite...Rueben sandwich...buy one get a second one for 25 cents.
Being disappointed by the breakfast offered at our hotel, we decided to hit a diner for breakfast and were VERY happy with what we had at the West End. The menu was pretty much what one would expect from a diner, but they did a very good job wth everything on it (especially the pea meal I ordered, something that as an American I can't get at home.) Definitely a good stop for breakfast in Hamilton!
Went here for an early morning weekday breakfast. Couple before us turned away because they were two minutes early before opening. Nothing extraordinary with standard fare served with average portions. Thought prices were a bit high for what you were served. Possibly because we were first in morning but wait staff was not very attentive. May try again to when in area.
Once again we visited the west end diner. Though the restaurant isn't overly large they feed an awful lot of people. 9 times out of 10 there's a line up which they seem to get through quite quickly probably because service is prompt and you don't wait a long time for your dinner to arrive. The last couple of times we did take out. Huge servings for a great price. This time my husband and I both ordered the gyro in a pita. Huge , it came with fries delicious it was so big I took half of it for like ch the next day. Tones of meat
Love it. Staff is always friendly. The cooks are very quick with orders. The Food is always hot and delicious. Whether you go alone, with a friend or family, there's room for all. But always busy. Be prepared for a wait.
