Olive Gourmando came highly recommended by my hotel staff. I was excited to try the restaurant and I wasn't disappointed. We went for brunch (without reservations) on a week day and we had a 15 minute wait. The restaurant is so cute, with lots of fun and interesting things to look at. I ordered a Sconewich, which was absolutely delicious. It was a buttery buttermilk biscuit with salty ham and cheddar and sweet fig jam... SO GOOD!!! $11.38 USD. Worth it!

The atmosphere was great. Prepare for a wait, because there was a line the entire time we were there. Portions are large, coffee was great, and pastries were amazing.
Visited this restaurant on a Sunday for brunch. I was told the wait time was 45 minutes but I got a table in about 20 minutes or so. Make sure you stick around when names are called. I tried Palmier and blue biscuits. Both smelled and tasted rich and buttery. I had the tartine with Asian pear, squash, cucumber, nuts, herb, honey. It was slightly sweeter than I thought but I finished the entire thing. It was busy but food was fresh and service attentive.
I live in the old port of Montreal so once in awhile , I will choose Olive & Gourmando as my lunch place to eat To my opinion , the best place to have lunch , if it's the salads , the sandwiches ( home made bread ) or even the soups I love their second restaurant Foxy for dinner
Very popular place. Came by at 10:30 in the morning for a table for 4, and came back an hour later and was told that it would be another 30-60 minutes for table...or we could sit at a bar. Lunch menu is pretty limited, but 3 of us got a panini plus one salad. Within 30 minutes after eating, we all got sick from the food. Unbelievably greasy paninis...not sure why this is so popular, really. Old Montréal has so many places to choose from, so we'll skip this place the next time.
