Whether you prefer pad thai, teriyaki or sushi, Umi Sushi has something to suit everyone's taste. It's best to make reservations for lunch, although now that Yellow Pages has moved it's not as busy. It's a very simply looking restaurant that prides itself on serving fresh fish. Strongly recommend in an environment where most restaurants cheap out on the fish they serve.
It doesn't look like much but once you venture inside and taste the sushi you too will be convinced:)
They've recently introduced a lunch menu that includes some maki's, salad and soup for a great price. Their sushi is always fresh and very tasty.
It has been years since we have been eating from Umi Sushi, minimum twice a week.The quality is excellent and NOT comparable to the one across the street.The restaurant may need some updating but it is always VERY clean and the service is very good.I often go for take outs and eat in the restaurant once a week.
A small place with a great talent, to put it simply!!!Wether you are visiting Montreal or live in it, these guys have a great variety of healthy sushis, super tasty Soups and the one and only Sushi Pizza!!!I have had sushis in couple of renowned Vancouver restaurants and Umi beats them by far!Ps: not recommended for families as the space is very restrained... take out or delivery is recommended!
The waitress was very friendly but admittedly overwhelmed. Service was very slow but fortunately we were in no hurry. The food was pretty good. I'd go back but only if in the area.The selection of wine by the glass was very poor. Only two choices of red.
