What a find! After a busy day visiting places around Calgary, we just wanted a quick and easy dinner near where we are staying. Thank you TripAdvisor users - the reviews were good, so we came her. Terrific! The two people working (the owners?) were happy and cheerful, and provided excellent service. The food was really tasty, and I especially liked the burek! There was a fairly limited range of pizza varieties on offer - but I like that: do them well. And Gaga Pizzeria certainly does it well. I would certainly eat here again!
What can I say, the owner and his wife (Gaga) were wonderful hosts. Treated us like family. The pizza was AWESOME. Take time to give it a try you will not be disappointed
If you're stopping by, ask for the story behind the name of the place.. you won't be disappointed. only one tip before you go, they don't make hawaiian pizza.
Friendly staff, great service and most importantly, amazing food. We ordered 3 pizza's from Gaga, and they were all thoroughly enjoyed that night. The owners are good people who are more than happy to joke around with you while you wait to get your order. My parents (who share a common background as a the owners) were treated incredibly well, and we certainly recommend this place to everyone.
This place is one of my favorite pizza places in Calgary's Beltline Neighborhood!You know the owner takes pride in his work by the way he takes the time to go through all the pizza options with you. I personally enjoyed the Mafioso pizza and we even got free dessert!This place actually gives away free pizzas to those who can't afford them. Happy to spend my money here. It helps that the food is delicious!
My husband makes his own pizza dough and great pizzas on the barbecue but we wanted to get inspired by a highly rated chef. Tripadvisor reviews pointed us in the direction of Gaga. I called in advance and asked the owner how much time he needed if my husband picked up our order on the way home from work on Friday. He said the pizzas take 10 minutes so I called back when my hubby was close. Well, the chef knows best because he held off making our food until he arrived --- and he was very late. I guess lots of people under estimate Friday traffic so he was smart to make my husband wait for hot pies.We ordered the proscuitto/spinach/figs and artichoke/olive/tomato plus a cheese buryk. This is some sort of slavic bread in a chewy, cheesy spiral and it is addictive. The pizzas were quite cold when opened the boxes at home so I put them in the oven for 4 minutes at 350 and they came right back to life. That's a good quality in a pizza. I was so hungry that I forgot to take pictures but they looked and tasted great. My only suggestion would be to add more figs to balance out the salty proscuitto. We reheated the pizzas and buryk the next day for lunch and they still had nice texture and crunch. My hubby always eats my crust and he loved it. I will be dreaming about that buryk though...The 14" pizzas are about $20 each and excellent value for the high end, fresh ingredients. The owner is very nice to deal with and obviously knows gourmet pizza. Gaga is top of the heap for many reasons!

This is hands down my favourite pizza place in Calgary. I found it completely by accident but now I drive out of my way when I'm craving this amazing pizza. Their ingredients are fresh and most importantly their flavor combinations are to die for. My favourite so far is the Signora Gaga. The salty sweet combination of the prosciutto with the figs makes my mouth water just thinking about it. If you're looking for something a little spicier the Mamma Mia is also delicious! They cater mostly to take-out however, there are a few tables available at the restaurant. Another great perk of this place is that the owners are really friendly and just a pleasure to interact with. I was told on my first visit that if I didn't like my pizza I wouldn't have to pay. Needless to say I ate every bite!
