Service was good, and fast, as the food choices were not bad, the food was good. My wife had the chicken wrap and said it was the best she has had. I had the chicken wings, and found them nicely cooked and tasty.
I was staying across the street at the Fireside Inn and the desk clerk recommended this restaurant. Good food and drinks in a friendly atmosphere. Renae was my waitress and she did an excellent job of taking my order, bringing me a fresh beer, filling my water glass and smiling and chatting when she could. I asked for her advice and I really appreciated her listening and giving great advice. My morning plans have been altered because of her comments. The Cobb Salad was excellent and the toast was so good I wish there was four pieces of bread. The locals eat there and that is a good sign when you are looking for value and great service. This great sports bar is located adjacent to the Super 8 Motel and has a great selection of food as well as Happy Hour and drink specials...the staff are friendly and cater to your needs...watch the sports on various large screen tv's, play pool or if your in the modd try your luck at Keno,pull tabs or sit in the outdoor patio's (two)...
Stood at the door for a while. 2 waitresses walked right buy me. Looked at me without smiling then walked right by, so I left. I immediately called and asked for the manager. I told him why I just walked out and he made excuses for the waitresses and seemed uninterested.
While staying in Castlegar for one night we had dinner at the Black Rooster. A nice cosy restaurant with friendly service.The food was good and tasty. Good pizza (a special with pulled pork), tasty pasta and a good chicken dish. My vegetarian daughter was also satisfied with her dish.So...a good place to stop!
Had a couple of drinks and dinner. Pasta and pizza, both dishes were great. Our server Sammy went out of her way to make us feel welcome and well takin care of. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Good food. Garlic prawns are to die for. Servers are attentive, prompt and social. Restaurant is a little dated but it's typical for this town. Definitely will come back.
Looking for a non-franchise-chain restaurant for lunch, my colleague and I stumbled upon the Black Rooster. From the outside, we knew this was the place for tasty, unique food and a pleasant pub atmosphere. The BR did not disappoint. On the inside, we were greeted by a relatively-posh interior and a friendly Hello from the barmaid around the corner. We grabbed a comfortable booth and enjoyed a great lunch and some good, Canadian beer. Friendliness flows as easy as the beer, here.
