A group of our friends (8 of us) decided to meet at The Grove for dinner. It is a cozy local restaurant and bar. We made reservations and the table and staff were waiting for us when we arrived. We were greeted by a cheerful hostess and we were immediately taken to our table. We all ordered different items including a couple of appetizers. I had the pork belly appetizer, which was excellent. The artichoke and spinach dip was a hit as well. The fish and chips were outstanding. I had the beef dish that was well presented and extremely tasty, but I found the portion a bit on the small side. The staff were very attentive and friendly and our group had a wonderful time. The staff thought we had waited too long for our entrees and provided our group with some complimentary items. We were pleasantly surprised as we did not think the service was off. Overall our group had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and pleasant staff. I am looking forward to returning.

Wonderful menu selection. Friendly staff. And the food was marvelous! We had the chicken, which comes with a variety of veggies, all cooked perfectly. The bar side of the place was busy when we arrived, so we opted for the restaurant side of the house. We had to wait a little while for our table, so ordered a drink at the bar. Food took a bit of time before it was delivered, but it was fresh and came to us very hot. It was made for our order, not slapped together in the kitchen.Patrons aged from you're-going-to-get-carded young people to the grey-haired set. It's a very inclusive place. We weren't hurried along at all so they could turn the table.Park on the street.

This is a great place, You must try the Roasted Pork Belly, Is actually fantastic. Everything that I tried was really flavourful and was just awesome. For pub food, they do a great job and you will be surprised. They have great beers. Small patio but all in all it was a great experience

The Grove strives to approximate the locals that my friends tell me are part of charm of England. Although I have no point of reference, I believe The Grove is very respectful of this tradition. The staff are warm and friendly. The menu is limited but excellent and the beers and cocktails are very good. This is one of the many things I miss now that I don't live in Winnipeg.

Ordered food to take out. The size of the "mushroom barley" soup (at $6.00) was laughable. We poured it into a measuring cup - barely 7 0z. Found several mushroom pieces and perhaps a teaspoon of barley in the broth. Disappointing. Oh, and they forgot the side of fries that were ordered and paid for - always check the bag!
