This place is always fresh and delicious! My 12 year old daughter wants to go here for her special birthday dinner, and we always get treated extra special by the awesome owners of the restaurant. I will not go to another sushi restaurant! Love it!!

Tried a variety of standard and specialty rolls as well as nigiri and everything was very good. We plan to try the Korean menu the next time we visit. The servers and owner were extremely attentive and made our visit very pleasant. The tempura yam appetizer was bland but otherwise everything else was delicious.
Have tried Kudara approx. 4 times. Each time I hope for a better experience, however if consistently is average sushi. Just a notch above grocery store sushi. Perhaps my expectations are too high as I compare to other more expensive sushi restaurants in the area such as Wasabi. Family who runs the restaurant is very nice.
I've tried countless sushi joints in Winnipeg over the years and Kudara has become my absolute favourite.It has a few tables to eat at in the restaurant but this is primarily a take out place in the middle of North River Heights. Sushi is always fresh and well crafted. Tempura is fantastic... crispy, not oily smelling or tasting... perfect.The Korean options are a fun option and can add something different to your meal. Well worth a try.And really... no one serves you with a bigger smile than KJ!
First time to try Korean food, was a great experience. Owners are friendly, good service and nice place.
I have been ordering take-away sushi from Kudara for a while now and have always been impressed with the taste and quality as well as the service. If I ever have to wait for my rolls, the female owner always brings me a hot cup of green tea while I wait and they are always so polite! Last night I finally decided to dine in at this small, but warm & comfortable 4 table restaurant. My dining partner and I ordered various rolls and it was not surprising that they were as delicious as ever! The menu is extensive, with a lot of inventive and creative rolls on it, including our very own "Winnipeg roll"! Near the end of our meal, the female owner, brought over a complimentary sample of Sashimi for us to try. I should mention that Kudara also serves Korean food too. I have not tried it, but I have heard it is very good. I highly recommend dining here or taking out sushi! There is certainly something for everyone to enjoy and a great selection of sushi for vegetarians too!
Went here for lunch today and ordered a few rolls and tempuraRolls were all made with terrible fake crab and had way too much artificial sauce.
