Unless the place is empty it will take at least 15 minutes to get your drink. Most recently this weekend they ‘lost’ the orders for at least 4 different customers in the 30 min I was there.I’m not sure what people mean about the atmosphere it’s nowhere near as nice as the other coffee shops in the neighbourhood.Would love to love it, but the service time is inexcusable.
Literally my fave coffee in Calgary when I lived there. I hit a different one of their locations when visiting and stopped at this location near Pegasus and a convenient store ….Had travellers brain and so use to either having my own travel mug or baristas at least asking me if I wanted 12 or 16oz. Didn’t ask me. Never had it served in such a large Cup. FairlyUnderstood anywhere I have gone that people who order a quad shot like the taste of coffee and the strength ratio to water. Came out. Asked if it was even mine? As they were able to ask and get everyone else’s name before and after me. I mentioned before leaving I guess I wish I was asked or remembered as I prefer a 12oz. No offer to correct.No oops sorry I forgot to ask.And whoever is pulling their shots who served me is absolutely doing an injustice to monogram. Tastes more burnt/ not good. My brain wires to the flavour triggers memories because I love it so much I remember. And this wasn’t it.So much so I love if it takes me back even when I stop in Canmore the guys at the cycle shop are pulling better shots.. Cannot say this is a fave location. Good for locals I guess. Better than big box coffee. But I’d make sure it represents the other locations better. I definitely Should have corrected when I pulled in and gone to my other fave location at 49th ave.
The neighbourhood’s favourite coffee shop where everyone gathers. It’s rare to not run into someone you know, as everyone comes for the great coffee and snacks.
Their subscription is awful.They recently made changes to reduce the amount of beans in each bag but still raised their prices, from $68 to $87.50, nearly 30%.There is absolutely no value of the subscription.We opted for 4 bags of the “Roaster’s Choice,” and ended up getting only 2 bags from the Wonder collection.The rest were from their low tier Warmth collectionThe total value of the four bags were $90… a grand total savings of $2.50!What a joke of a subscription.Btw, we also received a bag of coffee that was roasted on May 31, when the shipment was process on June 8.I’ll be cancelling my subscription.
Signed up for a subscription and 40% of the coffee I received is their house blend, despite the subscription info saying it’s a great way to try new and exciting offerings.Emailed Monogram and was told that since that’s the flavour profile I picked, that’s what I get. No attempt to resolve the concern and instead suggested I change my order preference.Many roasters I’m Canada now, choose one that actually puts thought into their subscriptions and actually sends you something new and exciting.
I was here this morning and the person was working alone and absolutely killed it! The line up was out the door and they kept a smile on their face while making 100 drinks. Give them a raise! :D
Excellent coffee! And really cool Cafe to sit in. They do light roast so if you like dark roast Starbucks style, not for you
Great coffee as always. The space is a little awko in there and not very cozy. The original location for Monogram so the place has history, probably why it hasn't been updated. Does the trick though!
